At the Faculty of Management in Herceg Novi, the final conference of the Erasmus+ project GROWTH was held, successfully concluding a three-year cycle dedicated to strengthening green policies and sustainable practices in higher education. The conference was attended in person by around 60 participants, while more than 100 participants followed the event online.
The project brought together partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Germany, and Slovakia, with the aim of enhancing the capacities of higher education institutions to implement campus greening strategies and integrate sustainability principles into teaching and institutional processes.
During the conference, the results achieved throughout the project were presented, including the analysis of the existing institutional situation and needs, the development of strategies and action plans, the improvement of curricula in line with the concept of “learning for environmental sustainability” (GreenComp), training sessions for academic and non-academic staff, international study visits, as well as dissemination and promotion activities of the project results.
It was emphasized that the project strengthened international and institutional cooperation, facilitated the exchange of good practices among partner institutions, and laid the foundations for the long-term integration of green competences into the higher education system.
Although the project has formally concluded, it was highlighted that commitment to sustainable development and green transformation remains a lasting priority for all partner institutions.
